WEDNESDAY BEND NIGHT OUT:

Wednesday night there will be an optional Evening Out in Bend. The bus will drop guests off at a convenient location downtown and then shuttle them back  to the Riverhouse at a couple different times in the evening. The shuttle is  $10/person or $15/couple. If you have not already signed up for this, you will have an opportunity to do so at the conference check in table. Please note, we are doing things differently this year. Because of the size coach we have rented for the evening, we don't anticipate anyone waiting at the Riverhouse for a lift! We think this will provide conference attendees a moment reprieve to enjoy visiting with colleagues in comfort as they make their way to one of Bend's great eating and drinking establishments.

Click here for a list of recommended Bend restaurants. We will be providing a curated restaurant list next week.

WOMEN'S  LUNCHEON:
WE ARE EXCITED TO INTRODUCE  OUR GUEST SPEAKER FOR THIS EVENT:
This luncheon on Wednesday, April 5 will provide a great opportunity to glean useful information from our speaker, Chrystal Bell, as well as network and build relationships with fellow women in law enforcement. Thank you to OACP member Major Teresa Bloom (OSP) for recommending this former colleague of hers.  Do you know of female LE leaders who would benefit from this time? Encourage them to register and join us at the Annual Conference.

Chrystal collaborated with executive leadership across the agency to deliver premier public safety services. Read More

Topic: “What’s in the Way? Finding our Path to Purpose and Artistry in Leadership”

What challenges are you facing? What do you want more of? Less of? How aligned is your leadership with who you are as an individual? In this talk Chrystal will explore those often hidden, but important themes that women in law enforcement leadership face. She'll also look at some frameworks for connecting our work with what matters most to us.

"ADDITIONAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES"

We're expanding our Training Center platform to include additional training opportunities, and we're excited to let you know!

Please note that all training videos are password protected so that the public cannot access. The password is found in the Training Center for each recording.

We've added a package called "Additional Training Opportunities" to our online training center. This will contain information regarding training, seminars, and conferences NOT hosted by OACP that we think would benefit our members. Currently, there is information about the Law Enforcement Appreciation Retreat, Marriage Resiliency Retreat, and the NW Regional CIT Conference.

Keep checking back as we'll be updating this as training becomes available. If you know of any training you'd like us to promote on our Training Center, please send information our way! We love adding value to your OACP membership and we think this does just that!

On another note, we'd like to let you know that an additional video from the 2023 ELTS Conference - Violent Extremism in America - was just added to the General/Other package.

OACP SWAG, CLOTHES, AND BOOKS FOR SALE at the Annual Conference

This year at the Annual Conference, in lieu of a silent auction, we'll be selling OACP items and all the proceeds will go to the Oregon Special Olympics. Give any amount you think is fair.

Be prepared to grab some OACP swag and make a donation to SOOR! Doing so will benefit YOU, those at your agency who may be lucky enough to receive these items as a gift, as well as Special Olympics Oregon.
