JOIN US FOR THE
2023 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

April 4 - 7

Riverhouse on the Deschutes Convention Center
Bend, Oregon

Click here for an attendance roster as of 3.7.23

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN:

Members: $340
Non-members: $360
Registration will increase by $20 on March 20. Unfortunately once we submit the meal count to the conference center, we will not be able to issue refunds at that time. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes. If a refund is needed, please request it prior to Tuesday, March 28 and we'd be glad to refund the full amount.

LODGING:

Unfortunately, all rooms at The Riverhouse are now full, but see below for a couple other great options to choose from, both of which are walking distance to the Convention Center:

WEDNESDAY BEND NIGHT OUT:

Wednesday night there will be an optional Evening Out in Bend. The bus will drop guests off at a convenient location downtown and then shuttle them back to the Riverhouse at a couple different times in the evening. The shuttle is  $10/person or $15/couple.  If you have not already signed up for this, you will have an opportunity to do so at the conference check in table. Please note, we are doing things differently this year. Because of the size coach we have rented for the evening, we don't anticipate anyone waiting at the Riverhouse for a lift! We think this will provide conference attendees a moment reprieve to enjoy visiting with colleagues in comfort as they make their way to one of Bend's great eating and drinking establishments.

MEET  ONE OF OUR CONFERENCE PRESENTERS:

Kieran Ramsey
SAC, Portland Field Office

Kieran L. Ramsey was named the Special Agent in Charge of the Portland Field Office in January 2021, and has been a member of the FBI’s Senior Executive Service since February 2019.

Mr. Ramsey joined the FBI as a Special Agent in 1998 and was assigned to the Seattle Field Office. He worked on a public corruption task force, an organized crime squad, and on the Seattle Joint Terrorism Task Force. Mr. Ramsey also served as the senior leader of Seattle’s Evidence Response Team and deployed to the World Trade Center immediately after the 9/11 attacks, as well as serving on a deployment to Baghdad, Iraq with the Regime
Crimes Task Force. Read More

Topic: “The Impact of January 6th Plus Radically and Ethically Motivated Violent Extremists in Oregon”
What does the threat of left wing vs. right wing domestic terrorism look like today in Oregon? From the summer of 2020, to Oregon Capitol and US Capitol incursions, to Jane's Revenge arsons and attacks on the power grid today, SAC Ramsey will discuss what the threat picture looks like presently, where it originated from and where it's going (and how Oregon law enforcement can work together to identify and disrupt the threat).

"ADDITIONAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES"

We're expanding our Training Center platform to include additional training opportunities, and we're excited to let you know!

We've added a package called "Additional Training Opportunities" to our online training center. This will contain information regarding training, seminars, and conferences NOT hosted by OACP that we think would benefit our members. Currently, there is information about the Law Enforcement Appreciation Retreat, Marriage Resiliency Retreat, and the NW Regional CIT Conference.

Keep checking back as we'll be updating this as training becomes available. If you know of any training you'd like us to promote on our Training Center, please send information our way! We love adding value to your OACP membership and we think this does just that!

On another note, we'd like to let you know that an additional video from the 2023 ELTS Conference - Violent Extremism in America - was just added to the General/Other package.

OACP SWAG FOR SALE at the Annual Conference

This year at the Annual Conference, in lieu of a silent auction, we'll be selling OACP items, and all the proceeds will go to  Special Olympics Oregon. Give any amount you'd like to donate to this great cause (while helping us clear out OACP's cupboards). Doing so will benefit YOU, those at your agency who may be lucky enough to receive these items as a gift, as well as SOOR.
