Lieutenant Gregg Wheat, Klamath Falls PD - Gregg enjoys golfing and spending time with friends and family. His favorite music genres are 80's hits and heavy metal. If he were to take a trip, his favorite destinations would be Las Vegas, Hawaii, Aruba, or Miami. He loves a good Prime Rib or Tomahawk steak.

Commander Brian Wilber, Hillsboro PD - Brian enjoys family and fitness. He is married with three kids - the oldest is at college for nursing, his middle son is in high school, and his youngest is in middle school.

Sergeant Sofia Bielenberg, Stayton PD - Sofia enjoys spending time with her husband on their farm where they have cows, horses, and dogs.

Major Michael Turner, OSP - Mike's enjoys hunting. He listens to country music, loves sushi, and has a whopping 38 followers on Instagram.

Sergeant Jeremy Fye, Boardman PD - Jeremy's hobbies include hunting and cooking. He has a wide range of music preferences including southern rock, classic rock, alternative rock, Motown and Philly Soul. His vacation destinations of choice would be Hawaii and/or South or Central America. It depends on the day when deciding what foods sound good.

Lieutenant Mark Pratt, Boardman PD - Mark and his wife are delighting in being first-time grandparents. They also enjoy traveling and going on cruises.

Sergeant Calvin Davis, Sunriver PD - Calvin enjoys anything outdoors including camping and hiking. He played college lacrosse.

Regional Manager Gary Wilcox, OLCC - Gary's hobby is golfing. He listens to classic rock. Hawaii would be his choice for a vacation destination, his go-to food is pizza.

Compliance and Regulatory Manager Scott Yox, OLCC - Scott has some acreage, so his time is spent building fencing, along with tending to hay fields, irrigation and farm animals. His hobbies include working on an old Massey Ferguson tractor and his fleet of Ford trucks. While working, he needs music to keep him going which could be 90's grunge, 80's new wave, or 70's classic rock. He would enjoy a vacation to some place he's never been; perhaps to a European F1 race course, or a trip to the Mediterranean.

Police Lieutenant Jason Jones, PPB - Jason's hobbies include hiking and reading. His favorite music genres are classical, country, rock, and classic jazz. If given a chance to vacation somewhere, he would choose the German Alps for hiking. He consults for U.S. State Department-funded projects in the Caribbean and South America. He is also a criminal justice instructor at Clackamas  Community College, Portland State University, and Abilene Christian University. He is currently working on a Ph.D. in leadership studies with an anticipated completion date of May 2024.

Commander of Detectives Timothy Robinson, PPB - Tim enjoys backpacking around the Pacific Northwest.

These students each received a $1,000 scholarship to further their law enforcement or criminal justice education. The OACP is committed to promoting professionalism and we value the presence and contributions of educated men and women in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice. Consider Applying for the 2024 IACP Scholarship

The OACP offers a $2,000 scholarship to assist one Chief to attend the annual International Chiefs of Police (IACP) Conference. The scholarship is awarded on a point-system basis. Applications need to be submitted by March 31.  For information on this scholarship and an application form, click here. When applying, please make sure you are using version 2022.1 (located in bottom left corner of form).
