REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

Cancellation Policy:  If a refund is needed, please request it prior to Tuesday, April 9 and we'd be glad to refund the full amount. Unfortunately once we submit the meal count to the conference center, we will not be able to issue refunds at that time. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

LODGING & TRAVEL:
Although the Pendleton Convention Center does not have its own hotel, there is ample lodging in the area. We have secured room blocks in several hotels. Click on the LODGING OPTIONS button below for reservation information.

Travel Options:
There are two airports nearby:

Pendleton Airport (PDT) is just three miles northwest of Pendleton. Commercial service is provided by Boutique Air to Portland.

Tri-Cities Airport (PSC) in Pasco, WA is 71 miles from Pendleton. It is the largest airport in Southeastern Washington. The airport is served by Delta, Alaska Air, United, Allegiant, Avelo, and American Airlines.

PRESENTERS:
We're looking forward to hearing from Jay Dobyns, Thomas Rizzo, and James Dugan. We know there will be much valuable information to glean from these great presentations. Please keep in mind that Rizzo and Dugan have approved their presentations being recorded, though Dobyns has not. If hearing Jay Dobyns' presentation is important to you, prioritize attending the conference in person.

WEDNESDAY EVENING OPTIONAL EVENT:
Join us Wednesday night after the vendor reception at Pendleton's historic Hamley Steakhouse. This will be a fun, relaxed evening with a buffet dinner & drinks, a Country Rock band, and (hopefully, if we can pull it off...) cornhole and/or poker tournaments. This event is an additional $30 and can be signed up for in the registration form. Thanks to Pendleton PD, and their offer to sponsor the cost of the shuttle, transportation to and from hotels in the area will be provided at no additional charge.

THURSDAY TRAINING OPEN TO NEARBY AGENCIES:
We're doing something a little different this year and opening up Thursday's training with Thomas Rizzo for additional people at agencies nearby who wish to attend this one-day training. We've been told that available training in this area of the state is limited, and therefore making it available to those who are not able to attend the full conference would be of benefit. Registration for this all day training is $150 and includes the Trade Show break with Vendors at 8:30 am, and lunch. A link to the registration form for this one-day training is below.

TRADE SHOW OPEN TO NEARBY AGENCIES:
Each year the Annual Conference coordinates a Trade Show where around 70 vendors/sponsors participate. This year, the Trade Show is open to not only conference attendees, but anyone else from nearby agencies wishing to attend. Separate exhibit hours for these folks will be held during conference training Wednesday, April 17 from 2:30 - 4:00 pm. If you are an agency in the area, please invite those from your dept. who may be in the market for some of the products being shown at the conference. This will be free and available for agencies both in Oregon and Washington.

THANK YOU TO OUR PLATINUM SPONSORS:

A Belated Congratulations to Chief Joe Shurtz, Milton-Freewater Police Department
The OACP congratulates Chief Joe Shurtz on his appointment to Chief of Police. Chief Shurtz began his law enforcement career in 2008 with the city of Milton-Freewater. He began serving as the Interim Chief in February 2023 and was officially named the permanent chief in August 2023. Although this momentous occasion escaped our notice at the time, we congratulate Chief Schurtz now and wish him great success in this not-so-new role.

OACP Award Program

The OACP Awards Banquet will be here before we know it and we would love to be able to honor deserving members (and non-members) for their service to the OACP. Please consider nominating someone you believe merits this recognition. Award nominations are due March 1. Click here for more information on the available awards, award recipients, and a link to the nomination form.
