Three days in Ashland offered plenty of opportunities to gain a little perspective — especially when it comes to passing the baton, receiving it well and preparing the next generation of leaders for what comes next.

Thank you to everyone who made the trip to Ashland, contributed to the conversation and helped make this year’s Fall Conference such a memorable one.

Attendees also received an important legislative update, shared plenty of conversation between sessions, and found time for a little fun along the way. A smaller crowd gathered Wednesday evening and laughed plenty with comedian Carl Lee, while Thursday brought a fun time to connect, sponsored by Verkada - a chance to relax and enjoy each other’s company outside the conference room. The week was a good reminder that some of the best conference moments happen not only from the podium, but around the table.

Chief Mike Krantz speaks on changing ALPR regulations & implementation across all levels of leadership.

A conversation on "Passing the Baton of Leadership" with Chief Miranda (Ret.) & Chief Malloy; facilitated by OACP Director Campbell.

Chief Harry Dolan (Ret.) lead lively, relatable discussion on leading the next generation of leaders by equipping today's chiefs.

OACP Director Campbell provided an eye-opening legislative update to attendees over lunch.

George Cheng joined attendees once more with an extended conversation on AI and implementation in policing.

Captain Trisena Sharff as well is a return speaker, based on fantastic reviews - melding leadership and followership seemlessly.

Missed the Fall Conference? Videos of each session, will be available in the Training Center in the coming weeks. Some sessions will only be available for a short time. We'll update with more information as these videos become available.
