The Conversation Elevated -  Meet the Speakers:

Retired Chief David Doll will set the tone on Wednesday with a timely reminder of how to refuel and rise higher in our professional journeys. Captain Joel Goodwin of Corvallis PD will guide us through elevated risk, offering practical strategies for navigating complex community safety concerns. We’ll also hear from Rosemary Reynolds in her powerful presentation on Chief Ralph Painter - a story that challenges us to reflect and act with courage.

On Thursday, the Medford Team will share lessons learned from a community emergency response exercise, a session designed to provide a clear flight path for building safer learning environments.

Finally, Dr. De Hicks will deliver a two-part training, providing tools and perspective to help leaders remain steady, even through the winds of change.

Together, these presenters bring the knowledge, tools, and inspiration to keep our agencies - and our leadership - aloft.

Next week in Salem promises to be an outstanding event - we hope you’ll be part of it.

** Please note: Early bird registration ends tonight! Fees will increase by $20 for both members & non-members  after midnight!

Earlier this week, the nation marked National Police Woman Day - a time to celebrate the remarkable women serving in law enforcement. While the date itself has passed, the significance of honoring these contributions reaches far beyond a single day.

Within OACP, we are especially grateful for our female members serving in leadership. Your dedication, professionalism, and example strengthen not only your agencies and communities, but also this Association as a whole.

To our women Chiefs (and all our female members) - thank you. Your resilience, commitment, and leadership continue to make Oregon safer and stronger.
