OACP Law Enforcement Legislative Champion Award.

The award recognizes Representative Lewis’s decades of distinguished service to public safety in Oregon, including nearly 40 years in law enforcement leadership and his continued advocacy for thoughtful public safety policy during his time in the Oregon Legislature. As a former police chief, past OACP President, and longtime legislative advocate for officer wellness and community safety, Representative Lewis has left a lasting impact on law enforcement and public service throughout the state.

Conference is officially underway in Pendleton, and this week’s update is intentionally a little lighter (and a little less edited) than usual as our attendees are busy learning, networking, and enjoying this year’s hot air balloon-inspired conference theme.

We’re looking forward to sharing photos, highlights, and conference updates with everyone next week once the event wraps up. Until then, thank you to all who are helping make this year’s conference such a success!
