While Oregon saw little sign of winter this year, law enforcement leaders across the state plunged into chilly waters - taking the plunge for a purpose - supporting fantastic athletes and Special Olympics Oregon.

Long time SOOR Supporters, Chief Dave Rash, Rogue River PD & Chief Jim Hamilton, Eagle Point PD get ready for an icy dip.

Chief Pete Rasic, Sunriver PD & his crew before they braved the frosty waters. (We're still waiting to hear if Polly the Polar Bear joined.)

Friendly competition between Chief Huskey, Sandy PD & Chief Gullberg, Gresham PD. We think the one that actually went under water won!

Chief Jason Wade, University of Oregon PD and his plunge team before testing the limits of bravery (and numbness)!

Chief Devin Lewis; Redmond PD & Deschutes Co. Sheriff Ty Rupert dove head first into some frosty competition.

Deputy Chief Trevor Arnold, Medford PD and his crew before taking a brisk dip to support SOOR athletes.

Chief Gwen Johns, Stayton PD with her dive crew, is quite familiar with this chilly annual event.
