OACP's Committee Management System (CMS) serves as the central hub for committee collaboration and communication.

For members serving on an OACP committee, the CMS provides a central location to collaborate, access meeting materials, share documents, review past discussions, and stay connected with fellow committee members. Combined with committee E-Lists, the system helps keep communication organized and preserves a record of committee work and accomplishments.

The 2026-2027 committee assignments have now been finalized. Committee members can expect a welcome message from their co-chairs in the coming days, if they have not already received one, with additional information about committee priorities, communication, and upcoming opportunities to get involved.

Accessing the CMS is easy:

* Log in to the Members Only area from the OACP homepage
* Hover over Member's Home
* Select Profile Page
*Under My Features, select Committees

Once you enter the Committee Management System, you will be able to view the committee(s) you are currently assigned to, access committee resources, and participate in committee discussions. Please note: only active committee assignments will appear in the CMS. If you believe there is an issue with your committee assignment or access, please reach out to Liz.

Committee work is where many of OACP's initiatives begin - from conference planning and training development to scholarship programs, membership services, and leadership development. We encourage all committee members to explore the CMS and stay engaged throughout the year.

The OACP extends its congratulations to Chief Shane Wilson on his appointment as Chief of the Prineville Police Department.

Chief Wilson's law enforcement career began in 1998 as a reserve officer with the Talent Police Department. After serving in a variety of roles in Talent, he joined the Prineville Police Department in 2016 as a police officer and steadily rose through the ranks.

Over the past several years, Chief Wilson has provided steady leadership for the department during periods of transition, repeatedly stepping into executive leadership roles when needed and ensuring continuity of operations, support for personnel, and service to the Prineville community. His commitment to the organization, depth of experience, and calm, professional approach have helped guide the agency through changing circumstances while maintaining a clear focus on public safety.

Please join us in congratulating Chief Wilson on this well-deserved appointment and wishing him continued success as he leads the Prineville Police Department.

Join the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Oregon

With only a few Torch Runs remaining before the 2026 Summer State Games, now is the time to get involved if you haven't already.

Whether you're participating in an upcoming run, volunteering, donating, or supporting fellow law enforcement members and Special Olympics athletes along the route, your involvement helps advance the mission of SOOR and demonstrates law enforcement's longstanding commitment to inclusion and community service.

The Final Leg Torch Run will culminate in Corvallis during the Summer State Games, where the Flame of Hope will be carried into the Opening Ceremonies. We encourage all OACP members to support a Torch Run event in their area and help make this year's LETR another tremendous success.
