One of the most valuable benefits of your OACP membership is access to the OACP Training Center. Whether you attended one of our conferences or couldn't make it this year, the Training Center allows you to continue learning from many of the outstanding presenters who have shared their expertise at OACP events.

Most of our conference presenters generously allow their sessions to be recorded, giving members the opportunity to access high-quality professional development long after the conference concludes. Best of all, these presentations are available at no cost to OACP Member Agencies, and completed training hours may be submitted to DPSST for applicable training credit. It's a convenient way to stay current, fulfill training requirements, and extend the value of your OACP membership throughout the year.

Accessing the Training Center is simple:

  • Log in to the OACP Members Only area.
  • Click Training on the blue navigation ribbon to launch the Training Center.
  • Select any of the F6 Training Packages to browse all videos within that category. We've also organized presentations into conference-specific packages, making it easy to revisit an entire conference or locate a particular session.
    • All conference videos are password protected, and the password for each conference package can be found at the bottom of that package page.
  • Looking for something specific? Select Search Course List and search by presenter, presentation title, or keyword to quickly find available courses.

Member Agency Key Contacts can also share training with personnel throughout their agency by simply providing the course link and password, making it easy to extend these learning opportunities beyond the primary member.

Not sure where to start? Videos from the 2026 Annual Conference have just been added to the Training Center, providing fresh content from this year's conference alongside an extensive library of presentations from previous OACP events. Whether you're looking to revisit a favorite session, catch one you missed, or discover a new topic, the Training Center is available whenever your schedule allows

The OACP congratulates Chief Jorge Tro of the Canby Police Department on his retirement and recognizes his 30 years of dedicated service to the law enforcement profession, his department, and the Canby community.

Chief Tro began his law enforcement career with the Canby Police Department in 1996 before briefly serving with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office. He returned to Canby in 1999 and built a distinguished career, serving as Sergeant, Lieutenant, Acting Chief, Captain, and ultimately being appointed Chief of Police in 2021. During his five years as Chief, he led the department with a steadfast commitment to community policing, integrity, and collaborative leadership.

We are grateful for Chief Tro's years of leadership and service, and congratulate him on a well-earned retirement while thanking him for his lasting contributions to the Canby Police Department, the Canby community, and the Oregon law enforcement profession.

In the weeks leading up to the Special Olympics Oregon Summer State Games in Corvallis, law enforcement agencies from across Oregon proudly carried the Flame of Hope, helping build excitement for the athletes while raising awareness and support for the mission of SOOR.

Take a look — you'll likely spot a few familiar faces from agencies across the state. As Guardians of the Flame, officers, deputies, and public safety professionals came together in support of inclusion, acceptance, and opportunity for individuals with intellectual disabilities through the Law Enforcement Torch Run.

As we look ahead to the Summer State Games this Friday through Sunday, we extend our sincere appreciation to every agency, participant, volunteer, and supporter who helped make this year's Torch Run a success. Your dedication and enthusiasm continue to make a meaningful difference for SOOR athletes across Oregon.
