No login is required. Visit policechief.org, then select: Resources > OACP Weekly Update

This archive is a helpful place to revisit legislative information, training opportunities, member announcements, public-safety news, upcoming events, and other resources previously shared by OACP.

Members can also access past Weekly Updates from their profile page in the Members Only area.

Messages Sent Directly to You

Your OACP profile includes an email history showing messages that have been sent to you through the OACP website.

After logging in to the Members Only area, select: Member’s Home > Profile Page > Email History

This is especially useful when you know OACP sent information about a training, event, registration deadline, member resource, or Association announcement, but the original message is no longer easy to locate in your inbox.

OACP Board Meeting Minutes

Minutes are added after they have been submitted to the Board of Directors for approval at the following board meeting. For example, July 15th Board meeting will be uploaded after September's board meeting.

To access Board meeting minutes, log in to the Members Only area and select: Conference/Meeting > Agenda/Minutes.

These resources are available to help members stay informed, revisit important information, and remain connected to the work of the Association - even when an email, Weekly Update, or meeting was missed the first time.

The OACP congratulates Nyssa Police Chief Donald “Donnie” Ballou on his retirement following nearly 29 years of dedicated service—all with the Nyssa Police Department.

Chief Ballou began his career as a reserve officer in 1997 and rose through the department’s ranks, demonstrating a lasting commitment to the Nyssa community, his fellow officers, and the law enforcement profession.

Thank you, Chief Ballou, for your leadership and for the valuable perspective you have shared with OACP as a member of our association and Board. Your service has made a meaningful difference.

Congratulations on your well-earned retirement. We wish you and your family all the best in this next chapter.

Annual Conference Recordings Are Now Available!

Missed a session at the OACP Annual Conference - or want to revisit a favorite? Recordings from May’s Annual Conference are now available in the OACP Training Center, with nine valuable sessions to choose from. Most presentations can be viewed at your convenience, giving you the flexibility to learn whenever it works best for you.

One important exception: Dr. Ben Stone’s presentation, “Stronger Hearts, Stronger Leaders: Tackling the #1 Killer of Active and Retired LEOs,” is available for a limited time only and will be removed from the Training Center on August 22. Be sure to watch before it’s gone!
