MEMBER DIRECTORY SEARCH
Looking for a Chief? Or your District Rep?
Or a Retired Member?
Look no further than OACP’s
Member Directory Search.
Here are additional things you can search for:
• Search for members by name • Search for all Chief association members • Find members at certain agencies or in specific board districts • Search Board representatives • Search for members on individual committees • Search members who serve at departments of certain city sizes • and more...
|
You can find the Directory Search Tool by logging in to the Members Only area and scrolling over Community (upper ribbon). To view an already compiled list of member profiles, scroll over View Entire Member Directory and you'll see four drop-downs: one for each member type including Interested Retirees. These lists are in alphabetical order and list everyone in that group.
We hope you'll use this tool to get connected to fellow OACP members. See something out of place? Please let us know.

The OACP extends congratulations to Chief Tom Simpson on his retirement from the Dallas Police Department.
With more than 40 years of dedicated public service, Chief Simpson has left an indelible mark on the communities he has served and on the profession as a whole.
As he and his wife begin a new chapter on the East Coast, we offer our sincere gratitude for a lifetime of service. May retirement bring rest, adventure, and well-earned joy. Above are images of OACP President Chief Marcia Harnden presenting Tom with his retirement plaque.

Each week this summer we'll be looking back at past training and featuring a presentation that can be accessed on our training platform. Consider viewing one of the highlighted videos (or having someone at your agency do so) for additional training credit.
|
Course Description: This presentation provides a realistic view on how actions or inactions surrounding bias, diversity and inclusion can help or hurt the profession. Challenging the Department leaders to step outside of themselves and take an introspective look into how their decisions set the culture for their Agency.
|
What fellow members said about this presentation:
- "The best DEI/bias training I have been through, hands down. This ran circles around anything my city has offered. I know Eme doesn't want to "check boxes" for cities but this is a game changer in terms of understanding different sides of the issue. My entire city government would benefit from his conversation.
- "The first five minutes of the presentation I want to walk out as I thought it was going to be another one of those shame driven presentations. However, I quickly learned how valuable this info was. Excellent "conversation" yes it was uncomfortable but meaningful, educational and impactful."
