Chief Resch brings over 24 years of public safety and leadership experience, serving in roles ranging from Patrol Officer to Chief of Police. Her background includes leading critical units such as the Gun Task Force, Criminal Intelligence Unit, and Investigations Branch.
Jami has been deeply involved in community engagement efforts through the Muslim Council, Slavic Advisory Council, and Refugee Integration Program, as well as youth-focused programs like Camp Rosenbaum and Shop with a Cop. A graduate of the FBI National Executive Institute and PERF’s Senior Management Institute, Chief Resch also holds numerous advanced command and leadership certifications.

Chief Mott brings 26 years of law enforcement experience to the role, having served as Deputy Chief and a key leader within the Dallas Police Department.
His career began as a Cadet with the Oregon State Police, followed by service as a Sheriff’s Deputy before joining Dallas PD in 2004. Known for his dedication to both public safety and community relationships, Chief Mott has earned the respect of his colleagues and community alike.
Outgoing Chief Tom Simpson praised Mott as a trusted partner whose leadership has played a vital role in the department’s success.
