On June 25, OACP President Chief Jim Ferraris testifies on police accountability measures during the 2020 Legislative and Special Session As Law Enforcement Leaders we want our organizations to reflect our communities’ desires with policing that is fair, equitable and just. These measures will help to ensure that only individuals with the highest ethical, professional and moral standards will serve our communities as law enforcement officers.
Our associations have an established history of working in partnership with the legislature on behalf of all Oregonians. We want to provide relevant guidance, advice, experience and insight on the critical issue of police accountability.

OACP College Scholarships
Consider encouraging a student to apply for an OACP college scholarship. Applications need to be submitted by the end of the year, and are awarded soon after.
Each year, the OACP provides five $1000 college scholarships to students who plan to enter a law enforcement or other criminal justice career field or are currently in the fields taking college courses to further their careers. The OACP is committed to promoting professionalism and values the presence and contributions of educated men and women in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice. To further our commitment, the OACP provides competitive college scholarships for qualifying students.
