Consider Applying for the 2024 IACP Scholarship
The OACP offers a $2,000 scholarship to assist one Chief to attend the annual International Chiefs of Police (IACP) Conference. The scholarship is awarded on a point-system basis. Chief Ronald Bridge took the reigns at Umatilla PD on December 27. He comes from Utah where he has over two decades of law enforcement experience. The OACP congratulates Chief Bridge and wishes him great success in his new role.

Chief Nick Jones was appointed chief at North Plains PD on January 22. Chief Jones has over a decade of service at the Washington County Sheriff's Office and has worked in North Plains since 2019. He is not currently an OACP member so feel free to reach out and encourage him to join, while congratulating him on his new role.
