As part of this year’s Fall Conference, attendees will join Lexipol’s Readiness Week live for “From Policy to Performance: Why Execution Breaks Down.”

The session looks at a challenge every agency faces: even when policies are clear, execution can break down when training, coaching, supervision and accountability don’t fully prepare people for real-world conditions.

Attendees will explore where policy ends and leadership begins, with practical insight into strengthening culture, reinforcement and readiness so written expectations translate into consistent performance when it matters most.

Topic: “Beyond the Technology: Leading Through the Complexities of Automatic License Plate Reader Implementation.”

Overview:  Drawing from his active involvement in Oregon’s 2025-26 legislative session, Chief Krantz will share insight from efforts to develop fair and effective ALPR laws for Oregon. The presentation will also explore the importance of preparing leaders throughout an organization to understand the reasoning behind these decisions, communicate them clearly, and carry responsible practices forward as technology, laws, and leadership roles continue to evolve.
