2021 OACP Annual Conference Update
May 11 - 14, 2021
We learned today that Deschutes County will go back into High Risk level this Friday (because of a couple days when COVID cases spiked). Risk levels will be re-evaluated April 20. We are moving forward with our plans, with cautious excitement, while seeking advice from the Exec Board. If given the ok, we will send out registration information tomorrow. If the risk level stays at High Risk and we are not able to have the conference in person, we will pivot to a virtual conference. Those who are registered will be reimbursed the difference and will be able to participate virtually. We are still optimistic, and appreciate your patience and flexibility during this time.

In the meantime, please click here to get more information on the conference and the registration options that will be available.

OACP News

The OACP congratulates Chief Terry Wright (Tillamook PD) on his retirement. As an OACP Life Member, Chief Wright has received many awards in recognition of his service and dedication, including prestigious OACP recognitions - Special Service Award, Max Patterson Award, and multiple President's Awards. Chief Wright served almost 25 years as a chief in Oregon and over 40 years in law enforcement.  We appreciate his commitment to the OACP and law enforcement and wish him great success and happiness in the future!

Nominate a Peer for an
OACP Award

The Annual Conference is fast approaching and with it comes an opportunity to recognize fellow members by nominating them for an award. Although OACP's budget may not allow for traditional award plaques, we still want to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of OACP members in some meaningful way. Take a moment to read through the descriptions and consider which of your peers you may want to nominate.

Click here for descriptions of all the awards and their criteria, and to download a copy of the OACP Award Nomination form.

All award nominations are due by April 12, 2021.
