Will there be breakfast (or at least coffee) on Wednesday morning if I have to attend a committee meeting?
Although we will not have a full breakfast on Wednesday, there will be plenty of coffee and something for you to grab and snack on at your committee meeting.

Will breakfast be available on Thursday and Friday?
Yes, and consider this a great time to casually visit with colleagues before training starts. It will be available from 7 to 8am both days.

Will there be a vendor I need to interact with?
Ben Labes from Harbor Tech mobility will be back with us again (after having joined us at the Fall conference), and as always, we encourage conference attendees to take a moment to hear about their product and service. If our sponsor is happy, that makes us OACP staff happy.

If I am attending the OEDI training or the OACP board meeting on Wednesday afternoon (and not any committee meeting), can I still come for lunch?
You bet, and we welcome that. If you did not indicate that on your registration form, just let us know and we will add you to the meal count.

Can I sit in on a committee meeting if I am not officially on it?
Of course! We encourage this. We want our members to be kept in the loop of what is happening in all the committees, with the hopes that next year you’ll want to serve on one.

What if I did not sign up (or pay) for the OEDI training. Can I skip out of the OACP board meeting and attend the training?
Yes, though you will need to let us know preferably in advance so we can add you to the OEDI training roster (and let the OEDI team know). There is an additional cost of $74 for the OEDI training (though it does include an OEDI yearly membership). Not sure if you signed up for the OEDI training? Contact Marie at [email protected].

Will there be enough food at the reception on Wednesday night, or will I need to make plans for dinner afterwards?
Heavy appetizers will be served, and unless you have an appetite of a college linebacker, we think you’ll be satisfied. Second (and third) trips to the food table are allowed. Drinks are available as well, and though this is a no-host reception, past experience suggests that at least one free drink ticket will be handed out to each guest.

Will I need to wear a mask at the conference?
According to the guidelines that the Seaside Convention Center has to adhere to, yes, though you are free to unmask while eating, drinking, or being active; like playing sports or dancing. Although we currently don’t have a DJ lined up for the reception, rumor has it that Executive Board Member Chief Mark Daniel has experience as one. Please know we will ask everyone to self-manage themselves regarding this guideline, and if you are not feeling well to stay home and drink some tea.

Is there any free time at the conference for me to network or spend time with my colleagues?
Thursday evening is completely free after 5. This will be a perfect time to spend time with colleagues while enjoying one of the many great restaurants in the area.

Can my spouse (or significant other) join me at the reception on Wednesday night?
We would love to have them join us. There is a cost of $25 for them to do so. If you did not indicate this on the registration form, just reach out to Marie at the office to take care of details.

What is the dress code?
Show up in business casual or a nice pair of jeans and you’ll fit right in.
