The 2024 Small Agency Conference is underway!

A great team of LE leaders across the state are meeting this week in Sunriver. Trainings are concentrated around the unique needs of smaller agencies and/or those in remote geographical locations .

The Executive Leadership Training Seminar is right around the corner and the Conference committee is working diligently to secure knowledgeable & relevant presenters. While registration is not yet open, we recommend booking your room now to ensure you receive the best rates available, as room blocks and discounts will end a full month before the conference. Looking forward to seeing you in Seaside!

While the OACP is already looking ahead to the ELTS conference in January and scheduling informative, engaging training - we didn't want you to miss the presenters who joined us at the Fall Conference in September.  If you would like to view the presentations, and add F-6 training hours, click the link below to visit the training center where they can be accessed. Most presentations have been edited & added.

Chief Lewis, cookie monster and the team in Redmond.

Officer Merritt from Salem making sure to add to  Michelangelo's candy haul.

Chief Kelly from Astoria and colleague from AFD enjoying festivities downtown.

Mr. Panda Bear (aka Chief Tom Worthy) from The Dalles greeting future first responders.

Chief Parise from Hubbard-Donald and team had a great 'Trunk or Treat' event.

Chief Holste (L) hiding from ghosts and goblins in Hood River.

Captain Kornblum and her colleagues had a great turn out in Sunriver.

Chief Cutshall (behind the camera) passed out candy with his crew in Reedsport.

Upcoming Chief of Independence, Tino Banuelos  and team passed out candy and stickers to excited  kiddos in costumes.

Chief Harvey  of Corvallis made sure Sully and Harry Potter left with smiles after they made a quick stop for candy.

Chief Martinez of Carlton may have an up & coming recruit in Little Red Riding Hood, as she's enthralled with Officer Steeves.

In last weeks awards article picturing recipients of the Paul Nagy Award, there was an error identifying one of the awardees.

Les Youngbar was mistakenly listed as the recipient of the award. In fact, Les Youngbar was the presenter of this award to John Courtney, who was the true recipient in the year 2000.

We apologize for the confusion and appreciate your understanding.
