OACP News


The Conference, Education & Training Committee has been hard at work finalizing details of the Executive Leadership Virtual Symposium. Here are some specifics:

Dates:
Four sessions: 2/16, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8

Cost:
$100/person for all four sessions

Registration will open the first week of February. This Symposium will provide 16 hours of training. Some of the topics will include:

  • Civility, Emotional Intelligence, & Policy Creation (Dr. Michelle Bennett)
  • Labor Laws (CIS Staff)
  • Various Leadership Courses (Eric Daigle Law Group)
  • More topics to be finalized

We realize that many will not be able to attend these sessions live. Therefore, all presentations will be recorded and made available afterwards to those who are registered, to be viewed at their convenience.

Heavily fortified statehouses around US see small protests

Small groups of right-wing protesters — some of them carrying rifles — gathered outside heavily fortified statehouses around the country Sunday, outnumbered by National Guard troops and police brought in to prevent a repeat of the violence that erupted at the U.S. Capitol. As darkness fell, there were no reports of any clashes.
