Executive Leadership Virtual Symposium 

The Education & Training Committee is hard at work planning another virtual symposium. Although many details are still being worked out, up for consideration is a conference consisting of four morning sessions over the course of four consecutive weeks from mid-February to mid-March. More information to come!

Vendor Partners Wanted

Does your agency use a product or service that you think other agencies may benefit from? If so, let us know. We are always looking for vendors who have something to offer our members, while at the same time forming a partnership with the OACP. A win/win for all!


Update on Les Youngbar, Retired Chiefs Representative

OACP President Chief Jim Ferraris has been in touch with Les regarding his challenging health diagnosis. He recently had surgery to remove cancer and is currently cancer-free, but still has a long recovery and an additional surgery ahead of him. We know he would welcome and appreciate any correspondence with his OACP family. Reach him at [email protected]

The OACP is saddened to report the passing of former Chief Robert (Bob) Kershaw, Phoenix Police Department. Chief Kershaw had a long and distinguished career in law enforcement, serving and protecting the residents of various Oregon communities from Keizer to Phoenix. He retired in 2006 and is "remembered fondly by his colleagues for his great sense of humor, his dedication to the communities he served, and his heart of gold." To read more, click here.
