Don't miss this opportunity to help raise funds for OACP's important programs (College scholarships, Special Olympics, and Parent Aid) while ALSO doing some early Christmas shopping. Chief Don Taylor (Turner PD) has been hard at work preparing for this creative fundraiser. If you have some questions about how this Facebook auction will work, watch this video from Chief Taylor.

Oregon Association Chiefs of Police Fundraising Auction

Leading up to Christmas we will be featuring creative Christmas outreaches agencies are involved in. In spite of COVID restrictions, police departments around Oregon continue to find meaningful ways to make this season special for community members... while also keeping their city safe. If your agency is doing something unique, let us know about it.

With the help of Walmart and the community, Albany PD filled 6 patrol cars and a crime van with toys for their "Stuff the Cruiser" event on Saturday, November 28. Their annual Shop With a Cop event on December 12 has to be smaller this year due to COVID restrictions, but with the success of this event, they'll be able to provide toys for even more children!

 OACP News

OACP Executive Director, Kevin Campbell, along with wife Marie, had the privilege of attending Chief Jerry Moore's retirement event. Wording on the certificate said, "In recognition of your remarkable law enforcement career that spanned over four decades and for the legacy of integrity and leadership you leave to those who will walk in your footsteps."

Unfortunately because of COVID restrictions, the Executive Board had to make the difficult decision to cancel OACP’s Executive Leadership Training Seminar (ELTS). The Education and Training committee will be meeting mid December to discuss options for training in the new year.

ADAPT is excited to offer two webinars in December to support HIDTA prevention efforts.
